I woke up on Sunday morning had breakfast (fresh fruit and a croissant – dammit!) and went to the gym. The treadmill was being used so I decided to do 10k on the bike. It took me just over 20 minutes. I thought about going for another 5k but I was getting bored on the bike. I did a 45-second plank, some lower body exercises, some hamstring curls and pelvic lifts with a Swiss ball, and some tricep dips, and was done.
I didn’t do much on Monday. My brother and sister-in-law arrived late on Sunday night so we all relaxed at the villa all day.
On Tuesday my sister-in-law and I went to the gym after a day at Bali Zoo. It was 5pm by the time we got to the gym and it was starting to get crowded. By the time we left an hour later every machine was being used. I did 10k on the bike again, a 1-minute plank, and repeated the rest from Sunday’s workout.
I didn’t work out on Wednesday and Thursday although I did a few lengths of the pool on Thursday afternoon. Actually I was so laid back about it I’m not even sure it counts as exercise.
On Friday morning I went to the gym. I was up before 10am so thought I’d go before breakfast was ready. I did 5k on the bike, 2k on the treadmill, and then the usual lower body exercises and tricep dips.
And that was it for the week. On Saturday we left for Turtle Island straight after breakfast so I didn’t go to the gym that day.
Low points of the week? Having bread every day this week. I really need to stop doing that. I’ve had a slice of pizza, McDonald’s cheeseburgers, croissants – very unnecessary! I miss Rama – I’m not working out anywhere near as hard as I normally do in Dubai – but that could be because the gym isn’t air-conditioned and I’m just not used to exercising in such heat!
High points of the week? Hmm… my clothes still fit so that’s something positive!
