The final few

My knee was a lot better on Sunday but Randy still went a little easier on my lower body.

I started with my usual 5-minute warm-up on the cross-trainer and then did the following circuit three times (with a rest between sets):

  • Kettlebell swings (6 kg) x 20
  • Half get-ups (4-kg kettlebell) x 12 on each side
  • Pelvic lifts x 15
  • Upright row x 15

I did another 3 minutes on the cross-trainer and did the next circuit three times (with a rest between circuits):

  • Alternating pullovers/skull crushers (3-kg weights) x 15
  • Chest press (3-kg weights) x 15
  • Abdominal leg raises x 20
  • Side leg raises x 15 on each side

While doing the pullovers/skull crushers I confessed to Randy about all the chocolate I’d eaten the day before. ‘What?? I was just about to tell you you’re looking fit and slim – what’s going on?’ I told him I was just irritated and had had a bad day and felt like eating mini Galaxy bars! ‘Did you feel guilty afterwards?’ he asked me. I thought about it and realised that no, I didn’t feel guilty about it at all!

I did another 3 minutes on the cross-trainer and then did some stretching. I was done!

Low point of the week? Erm. That was the only workout I did all week. I had friends in town staying with me for a couple of days and I was just too tired. Also, I’m eating mini Galaxy bars like they’re going to be discontinued soon 😦

High point of the week? I did spend a lot of time at the pool over the weekend – and did a few lengths each time (rather than just sit by the pool and read).

Weight loss? Still stuck at 70! Although I did hit 69 kg on Friday (after a night out eating fried food and drinking excessive amounts of wine – go figure).
