After the disastrous two weeks I had, I was determined to get back into some kind of routine again. Randy ended up cancelling our Sunday morning session so I decided I’d do some cardio on my own.
I decided I’d just walk on the treadmill at a speed of 6.4 km/h or higher for 30 minutes. It wasn’t too bad – and I even did some lower body exercises afterwards.
And then I didn’t do anything until Thursday. I had a session with Randy which began with my usual 5 minutes on the cross-trainer. We then went outside by the pool and Randy set up the TRX cable. The first circuit consisted of:
- TRX pull-ups x 15
- TRX push-ups x 15
- TRX squats x 15
- Running sideways x 4 lengths
I did that circuit three times with a rest in between each set. We went back inside and I did another 3 minutes on the cross-trainer. I had a break and then began the next circuit:
- Leg extensions x 20 (machine)
- Single leg dead lift (10-lb weight) x 10 on each side
- Sit-ups x 20
I did that circuit three times and then Randy stretched me out and I was done. I knew I wasn’t going to go back to the gym over the weekend as I was expecting a few late nights so that was my week!
Low point of the week? I seem to be getting lazier and lazier. Oh, and I bought mini Galaxy bars at the supermarket – I’m eating one right now.
High point of the week? Was there one? Perhaps it was that I actually went to the gym on my own on Sunday morning.
Weight loss? Ugh. None. I don’t even want to talk about it. I hit my heaviest weight all year this week.
