I had a terrible week. I did nothing all week until my session with Randy on Thursday.
I started with a 5-minute warm-up on the cross-trainer. I then did the following circuit three times:
- Plank x 45 seconds
- Sit-ups x 15
- Combined side leg raises/obliques x 10 on each side
I did another 3 minutes on the cross-trainer and had a break.
The next circuit consisted of:
- Kettlebell swings x 20
- Burpees x 10
- Push-ups x 10
After that circuit I was done and Randy stretched me out.
That was my last session with Randy for now. We’d come to the end of our 10-session package and I told him I wanted to take a break as I was starting a new (temporary for now) job and wanted to see what my hours would be like. Well, that’s what I told him – although the part about the job is true. I wanted to meet my friend’s trainer – she’d been raving about him – and I haven’t been very motivated recently (as you might have noticed). So I called Trevor and arranged to meet him on Sunday morning.
Low point of the week? Still eating, still drinking! Also, I just couldn’t bring myself to tell Randy I was shopping for a new trainer. A couple of my friends have said he doesn’t need to know – but I would rather he hear it from me than someone else! He’s a nice guy but I think I need to try something different now.
High point of the week? Hopefully Trevor will agree to working with me and whip me into shape.
Weight loss? None! Still in the mid-70s.
